Original Piece #1

This is an image of the letters for the fraternity in which I wrote my Ethnography about.  Like with the inspirational piece, I went to my local CVS store and bought some post-it notes to use for this project.  I then took my post-it notes, and stuck them to my wall to make the letters "TKE."  At first I wanted the top of the 'T' to be all horizontal, but when I left and came back into my room, the edges began to fall of, therefore creating a curved edge.  I thought it looked more artistic this way.

As with the inspirational piece, this form of art will attract anyone who enjoys abstract art.  However, it will not attract the crowd of people who enjoy The Legend of Zelda.  In its place, it will attract many people who associate themselves with the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Though my genre consists of only three letters, it tells a lot about my ethnography.  These three letters, T, K, and E, represent the Greek words "Tau," "Kappa" and "Epsilon."  Tau Kappa Epsilon stands for something more than just the words, as Ronald Reagan once said: “Above all else, Tau Kappa Epsilon is a fraternity committed to excellence.  For years TKE has challenged college men to develop themselves, and their leadership abilities.”  These letters represent love.  These letters represent charity.  These letters represent esteem.
